Survivor-Winning Floral Park Teacher Celebrated Like A Rock Star

FLORAL PARK, NY — A Floral Park teacher who won the latest season of the hit TV show "Survivor" was celebrated like a rock star at his school this week. Tommy Sheehan, a fourth-grade teacher from Long Beach, won $1 million after being voted the winner of season 39.

Sheehan teaches at Floral Park Bellerose School on Larch Avenue, and dozens of screaming fans celebrated his win at the school. In video posted on Facebook, Sheehan walks out of the building in a Santa suit and Grinch face paint as children shouted "Mr. Sheehan!"Many held signs and balloons in honor of their newest celebrity.
