1-Month-Long I-684 Lane Reductions Start Today In Westchester
Work on the aerial cable replacement project is expected to take place daily from Dec. 5 until Jan. 5.

WESTCHESTER COUNTY, NY — A high wire act over a busy Westchester freeway could mean delays for commuters and holiday shoppers alike.
Lane reductions along I-684 from Harrison to North Castle are planned from Tuesday, Dec. 5 through Friday, Jan. 5, for aerial cable replacement.
The New York State Department of Transportation said that Interstate 684 will be reduced to one lane in each direction between Exit 1 (Interstate 287) in the Town of Harrison and Exit 2 (State Route 120) in the Town of North Castle.

The aerial cable replacement is expected to take place between 10 a.m. and 2 p.m., weather permitting.
The NYSDOT is reminding drivers to slow down and drive responsibly in work zones. Remember, fines are doubled for speeding in a work zone. Convictions of two or more speeding violations in a work zone could result in the suspension of your driver's license.
