19th Annual Kids Snapper Fishing Derby Returns To New Rochelle
New Rochelle Parks and Recreation will again be holding its annual Kids Snapper Fishing Derby at the Hudson Park Wall.
NEW ROCHELLE, NY — The fish stories that kids learn to tell today will grow and grow over a lifetime. A picture with a prize-winning fish from the 19th Annual Kids Snapper Fishing Derby will go a long way towards silencing the doubters.
It's time once again for the 19th Annual Kids Snapper Fishing Derby held by New Rochelle Parks and Recreation. The event will take place at the Hudson Park Wall on Sunday, September 10, from 9 a.m. - noon. The free event is geared towards children ages 6-16.
Children should bring their own fishing gear. A limited supply of bait and tackle will be available as well as snacks (don't get the two confused). First, second and third prizes will be awarded for the catches of the day.
