2-Week-Long Closures Along Cross County Pkwy & Hutchinson River Pkwy

The daily overnight lane closures will be necessary for construction, but are not scheduled during rush hours, according to the NYDOT.

WESTCHESTER COUNTY, NY — The New York State Department of Transportation (NYSDOT) is warning drivers about possible delays over the next two weeks.

The NYSDOT says that drivers can expect lane and ramp closures along the Cross County Parkway and the Hutchinson River Parkway, beginning Sunday, October 1, throught Saturday, October 14.

The closures are necessary for construction and will take place between 10 p.m. and 5 a.m., according to the NYSDOT.

The following closures are scheduled, weather permitting:

  • 2 lanes of the Cross County Pkwy in each direction will be closed between Exit 8 (State Route 22) and the Hutchinson River Pkwy.
  • 1 lane of the northbound Hutchinson River Pkwy will be closed between Exit 12 (Mamaroneck Rd.) and Exit 14 (North St.)
  • Northbound Hutchinson River Parkway ramps to Exit 13 (Mamaroneck Ave.) and Exit 14 (North St.)

Drivers should be prepared for delays and follow the posted detours.

The NYSDOT is reminding drivers to slow down and drive responsibly in work zones. Remember, fines are doubled for speeding in a work zone. Convictions of two or more speeding violations in a work zone could result in a drivers license suspension.
