NEW ROCHELLE, NY — A Mount Vernon man has died after a shooting this morning in New Rochelle.
Investigators said that they believe the shooter knew the victim, and that there is "no known active danger to the public."

The 22-year-old was gunned down at the New Rochelle Municipal Housing Authority Heritage Homes public housing complex, according to police.
NRPD say that detectives are investigating the killing, but have not announced an arrest in connection to the shooting yet. Police are not releasing the identity of the victim until his family can be notified.
