Slippery travel from snow-covered roads is almost certain, with dry, powdery snow starting Friday evening becoming wetter snow overnight into Saturday morning. There is a chance for sleet in the mix, especially in the New York City metro area, and coastal Long Island. Temperatures in the mid to upper 20s are expected during the storm.
Because of the unpredictable development, duration, and location of heavier snow banding during the storm, the National Weather Service said the forecast could still change. Snowfall amounts may increase outside of the watch area if heavier snow shifts east. Monitor the latest forecasts, and check here for updates on the coming winter storm.
