Today's opportunity is volunteering as a party elf for food rescue sorters for Rockland Community Against Hunger.
Rockland Community Against Hunger's Food Rescue/Food Recovery Program is a collaboration of nonprofit organizations: Together Our Unity Can Heal (TOUCH), Bridges, Meals on Wheels, and Catholic Charities. Its team of drivers rescues over a million pounds of food every year in Rockland County—unsold food that would have gone into landfills. Instead, this food is distributed to more than 40 partner food pantries and programs.
