America's Most Wanted Features Fugitive Wanted In Westchester Murder

NEW ROCHELLE, NY — The hunt by the New Rochelle Police Department for fugitive Mtayari Dixon is going primetime.
The case is being featured on a new episode of "America's Most Wanted."
Detectives are looking for Dixon for the murder of James Caldwell. The episode of "America's Most Wanted" will air on Monday, at 8 p.m., on Fox. The episode will also stream on Hulu after it airs tonight.

The case has already gotten the attention of federal agents, and the hope is that highlighting the story, and a substantial reward for information, will help put Dixon in custody.
Dixon is accused of fatally shooting Caldwell after the two were involved in an argument on Horton Avenue in New Rochelle. After the murder, it is believed that Dixon boarded a train and went to Stamford, Connecticut. He then may have boarded a bus to Atlanta, Georgia, and then traveled on to Charlotte, North Carolina.

On November 14, 2022, Dixon was charged with murder in New Rochelle City Court and a state warrant was issued for his arrest.
The FBI is offering a reward of up to $10,000 for information leading to the location and arrest of Dixon. Dixon has known ties to Charlotte, Atlanta, Georgia; Stamford, and New Rochelle, according to law enforcement.
