WESTCHESTER COUNTY, NY — Summer is the perfect time to explore everything Westchester County has to offer and one option for getting around the county just got more affordable and more energy-efficient.

Westchester County Executive George Latimer has again this year lifted the fares on the Bee-Line Bus system for the summer. From July 1, through September 2, all Bee-Line buses, including ParaTransit, will be fare-free.

Regular fares will resume on Tuesday, September 3. The initiative is part of Westchester County’s efforts to support local communities, ease transportation costs for families, and encourage the use of public transit, according to officials.

"We are excited to bring back free rides on the Bee-Line buses this summer," Latimer said. "This initiative not only helps our residents save money but also promotes the use of public transportation, reducing traffic congestion and lowering our carbon footprint. We encourage everyone to take advantage of this opportunity and explore all that Westchester County has to offer."
