Discover ruins of an old railroad, learn how New Rochelle once got its drinking water, and enjoy community outdoors!Date: January 10, 2026 (Rain Date: January 11) Time: 11am - 1pm Meetup Location: Webster Avenue and Flandreau Avenue, New Rochelle Street parking available.This hike is moderately difficult, with uphill and downhill portions. The trail is not paved and does have rocks.

JCC Mid-Westchester

This six-session course focuses on the art of brush movement and the 
meditative rhythm within Chinese calligraphy. Through guided exercises 
on lines, pressure, and movement, students will learn to connect mind, 
breath, and brush—discovering a state of flow through ink. Participants 
will explore abstract concepts such as wind, stillness, flow, and form 
vs. formlessness as the basis for personal creative expression.
The
 class bridges traditional brushwork with contemporary sensibility, 
encouraging each student to create an individual piece that reflects 
their inner rhythm.
All levels are welcome. Materials are included, and each student will receive a brush to keep and take home after the class.
