Cornell Cooperative Extension of Westchester County Offers Free Nutrition Classes for Families in Partnership with Hudson Park Children’s Greenhouse

New Rochelle, NY – Cornell Cooperative Extension of Westchester County is excited to announce a series of FREE NUTRITION CLASSES designed to help parents, grandparents, and guardians of resource-limited families with children aged 19 years or younger make healthier food choices and improve their overall health.

Class Highlights: Participants will learn to:

  • Prevent diabetes, heart disease, obesity, and other chronic illnesses
  • Prepare quick and delicious meals
  • Understand food labels, sugar, and fat content
  • Shop smarter and save money
  • Ensure food safety at home
  • Enjoy physical activity

Program Details:

  • Duration: 8 weeks
  • Schedule: Tuesdays, February 4 - April 8 (No classes on February 18 and March 18)
  • Time: 11:00 AM - 12:00 PM
  • Location: Hudson Park Children’s Greenhouse, 44 Wildcliff Road, New Rochelle, NY 10805

Participants who attend at least six sessions will receive a certificate of completion. The teacher will often have free giveaways for class attendees.
