Deli Sting Nets Joker Poker Machines, Fentanyl, Cocaine, $124K: NRPD
The drug and gambling probe by the New Rochelle Police Department led to simultaneous search warrants and two arrests.

NEW ROCHELLE, NY — There was more going on at a Westchester deli than meets the eye, according to police.
On Friday, New Rochelle Police Department detectives concluded a major drug and gambling probe, leading to the execution of two search warrants and the arrest of two suspects.
After an investigation, NRPD targeted the deli at 570 North Avenue, suspected by police of being a hub for illegal drug and gambling activities. A simultaneous search warrant was executed at a related residence on Mt. Joy Place.

The raids yielded over $124,000 in cash, three Joker Poker gambling machines, 2 ounces of fentanyl, and 19.5 grams of powdered cocaine, according to police.
Two suspects were taken into custody in connection with the investigation. They are facing charges related to drug trafficking and potentially illegal gambling operations, police said.

Angel Bravo-Sanchez, 44, of New Rochelle and Alexie Medina, 58, of the Bronx, were both charged with felony criminal possession of a controlled substance. Bravo-Sanchez was also charged with felony criminal sale of a controlled substance.
