'Do Not Drive At This Time,' Parkway Closures In Westchester: WCPD
Significant flooding is occurring on sections of the Bronx River, Saw Mill and Hutchinson River Parkways and local roads.

WESTCHESTER COUNTY, NY — Officials in Westchester are telling people to stay off the roads if they can as fire departments begin staging equipment for water rescues, local roads are washed out and schools across the region are dismissing students early.

"Significant flooding is occurring on sections of the Bronx River, Saw Mill and Hutchinson River Parkways as well as on multiple local roadways in the County," Westchester County public safety officials announced Friday morning. "The best advice is this: do not drive at this time if it can be avoided."

The Bronx River Parkway is closed between the Sprain split in Yonkers and Main Street, White Plains. There is significant flooding at Oak Street, Mount Vernon.
The Hutchinson River Parkway has partial closures between the NYC line and North Avenue, New Rochelle. Significant flooding has occurred at Wolf's Lane in Pelham and East Lincoln Avenue in Mount Vernon.

The Saw Mill River Parkway is closed from the Cross County Parkway to the NYC line.
The Cross County Parkway ramps to and from the Hutchinson River Parkway are closed.
Playland Parkway is closed due to flooding.
Additionally, Metro North Harlem and New Haven lines have been suspended, according to the MTA.
