'Farm to People,' A Popular NYC Online Farmers Market, Expands Delivery to Westchester County
Westchester residents can start placing orders this week to have their "farmers market, delivered" next week.

WESTCHESTER COUNTY, NY — Getting provisions from the farmers market no longer means circling a date on the calendar each week for part of the Hudson Valley.
Touted as a way for families to access seasonal and sustainable food directly from over 150 local farms and makers, without the big-box middleman, Farm to People changed the way NYC residents find Hudson Valley farm goods.
The concept is simple. According to the company's founders, "we're the farmers market, delivered."

Farm to People will begin deliveries in Westchester County on Thursday, September 4.

Founded in 2013, Farm to People's mission is "to make it easy to eat locally and sustainably without sacrificing convenience." The company says it is "building a better food system by fostering deep connections between customers and the region's small farmers and producers. The more people we serve, the more we help our farmers and regional food shed to flourish in their pursuit of more sustainable and regenerative farming."

Now, Westchester residents will be able to enjoy the same curated selection of local produce, pasture-raised meats, small-batch pantry goods, and chef-crafted prepared foods that NYC customers have experienced since Farm to People's launch over a decade ago: Ronnybrook Dairy, Hudson Valley Fisheries, She Wolf Bakery's amazing Sourdough Breads, Snowdance Farm Heritage Chicken, Autumn's Harvest Beef and Pork, Knead Love Gluten-Free Bakery, Black Seed Bagels, Jasper Hill and Farm Cheeses.

The company also offers "Easy Meals," for adults (and kids too), prepared in the Farm to People kitchen, using ethically sourced and produced products.
"Expanding to Westchester and Southern Connecticut is a really exciting next step for us," Michael Ray Robinov, Co-Founder and CEO of Farm to People, said. "These are communities with deep appreciation for locally-sourced food. They are looking for a way to connect more directly with the regenerative farms and makers in our region."
The expansion to Westchester is a return home for Robinov's father, co-founder David Robinov, who opened two of the first natural markets in Westchester almost four decades ago: Nature's Warehouse in Larchmont, and Katonah Natural Market. He later joined forces with Mrs. Green's and branched out to open more markets in the mid-'90s.
Farm to People's model allows customers to shop whenever they like, with the ability to choose from over 1,300 products (and growing) each week. The company says their customizable farm boxes are the best way to keep the fridge stocked year-round. Orders are packed and delivered on the same day, right to your door, and never shipped.
