Fatal Crash Involving 2 Cars And Semi Closes Highway Near Taconic
Initial reports are that at least one person was killed in the multi-vehicle collision that has closed the roadway until morning.
MILWOOD, NY — At least one person has been killed in an accident involving a semitrailer and two cars, according to initial reports.
According to the New York State Department of Transportation (NYSDOT), Saw Mill River Road underneath the Taconic State Parkway will remain closed until after midnight until crews and crash investigators clear the accident scene.
MTA police arriving on the scene reported serious injuries shortly before 6 p.m. Wednesday evening, according to Westchester Fire Wire. At least one accident victim was taken to the Westchester Medical Center and one fatality was reported shortly after, but has not yet been confirmed by police.

The New Castle Police Department and Millwood Fire Department said that Route 100 in the Inningwood Road area should be avoided for several hours due to the accident. A detour of traffic is in place.
