Frost Advisory Issued Overnight For Much Of The Hudson Valley: NWS
Seasonable freezing temperatures are returning to the region with a vengeance overnight, according to the National Weather Service.
HUDSON VALLEY, NY — Frost is probable overnight as temperatures will drop, and the National Weather Service has issued an advisory for Orange, Putnam, Rockland and Westchester counties.
The advisory will be in effect from 1 a.m. to 9 a.m. Monday. Overnight temperatures as low as 33 degrees will result in frost.
Since the frost could kill sensitive outdoor plants if left uncovered, the NWS recommends taking steps as soon as possible to protect tender plants from the cold.
