Help Humane Society of Westchester & The Environment At The Same Time
The Stop & Shop on Palmer Ave. in New Rochelle will donate proceeds from the sale of reusable "community" bags to the group.

NEW ROCHELLE, NY — The Stop & Shop on Palmer Ave. in New Rochelle is giving shoppers the chance to support the Humane Society of Westchester at New Rochelle, and help protect the environment at the same time.
Stop & Shop's community bag program will benefit the Humane Society during the entire month of April. A portion of the proceeds from reusable bags sold at the Stop & Shop store will be donated to the non-profit organization.
Every $2.50 reusable Community Bag sold supports a non-profit local to the store in which it was purchased. Each month, at every Stop & Shop location, a different local non-profit is selected to benefit from the sale of these special reusable Community Bags. Donations from the program started in 2019 have supported groups focused on education, civic, health/wellness, hunger relief and military/veteran organizations.
