New Rochelle Police Department To Host National Night Out
The annual event promotes police-community partnerships and neighborhood camaraderie.

NEW ROCHELLE, NY — In celebration of National Night Out, the New Rochelle Police Department will open their headquarters to the community on Tuesday.
The event will feature an evening of fun at NRPD headquarters including equipment demonstrations, food, games, children’s activities, bubble bus, and more.
Celebrated the first Tuesday in August, the National Night Out program is an annual community-building campaign that promotes police-community partnerships and neighborhood camaraderie to make neighborhoods safer, better places to live.

Last year's event included face-painting, a bounce house and giant inflatable slide, closeup looks at rescue equipment and demonstrations from first responders plus, as Patch reported, "a DJ with a knack for keeping the energy up and food straight from the grill."
