New Rochelle Train Station Building Will Be Closed On Saturday

NEW ROCHELLE, NY — If you're planning to take Amtrak or Metro-North from New Rochelle this Saturday, it might be a good idea to buy your tickets ahead of time, and make sure you use the bathroom before leaving home.

The New Rochelle train station building will be closed for electrical work. The work will not affect trains, but there may be limited ticket machines to pre-purchase your tickets on the platform and there will be no restroom facilities available.

City officials say that while the entire historic train station building will be off-limits during the work, the platforms and parking garage will remain open to passengers.

The work is scheduled to take place from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m., but contractors caution this is only an estimate. If the work extends after sunset, emergency lighting and extra security will be available, if needed, to help make sure everyone get where they are headed safely.
