Over the past two years, the Propel NY Energy project has prioritized reaching out to communities along the route to provide information, solicit feedback, and answer questions about what
communities can expect in the coming years, as construction is expected to begin in 2026. To date, the team has hosted 26 open houses and community information sessions, participated in 24 local tabling events, sent more than 14 rounds of mailers to over 17,000 project neighbors, and conducted more than 2,200 direct touchpoints with over 3,400 stakeholders.

“Our approach to outreach is ‘early, often, inclusive,’ and this video is an easy-to-view representation of the feedback we’ve been hearing as we meet with residents, businesses, and community organizations to share information about the project,” said Susan Craig, Director of Communications for the New York Power Authority.
