Queens Man Accused Of Burglarizing New Rochelle Home
Police said the man dropped a backpack filled with items from the home before he tried running away.

NEW ROCHELLE, NY — A Queens man was accused of burglarizing a New Rochelle home Friday.
The New Rochelle Police Department said they received a call shortly after 7:30 p.m. Friday about a possible burglary at a home on Storer Avenue.
The person whose home it was told the police he wasn’t home but received a notification from an interior security camera that someone was in his home.

Officers and detectives responded and located Louis Garcia-Comas, 29, of Queens, in the backyard with a full backpack, police said.
He dropped the backpack and then tried to run away from the officers.

After a brief foot chase, Garcia-Comas was apprehended.
Police said the backpack left in the backyard was full of items from the home. A pried-open window was found in the back of the home, police said.
Garcia-Comas was charged with second-degree burglary and third-degree criminal possession of stole property, felonies, and possession of burglar’s tools, a misdemeanor.
