Traffic Stop Leads To Arrest Of South Carolina Man After Loaded Weapons Discovered: Police
The late night traffic stop, and arrest took place on the night of Dec. 23, according to the Haverstraw Police Department.
HAVERSTRAW, NY — The Haverstraw Police Department says that on Dec. 23, around 10:43 p.m., officers stopped a vehicle, and found more than traffic violations.
An investigation revealed that the driver of the vehicle, 40-year-old Richard Campbell, of South Carolina, had two loaded firearms and several loaded magazines.
He was arrested and taken to the Haverstraw Police Department for arrest processing.

Campbell was arraigned on Dec. 24 in the Village of Haverstraw Justice Court, and then remanded to the Rockland County Correctional Facility in lieu of $50,000 bail.
The Haverstraw Police Department said that it "remains committed to proactive enforcement and ensuring the safety of our community."
