Suspect In Theft Of $15K Honda Ridgeline In Yorktown Last Summer Nabbed In Westchester Jail: Police

The 32-year-old suspect was taken from the jail to the Yorktown Police HQ, where he was charged with two felonies.

YORKTOWN, NY — The suspect in a theft this summer was easy to find in the end, according to police.

The Yorktown Police Department says that a 32-year-old Peekskill man was arrested on a warrant for felony third-degree grand larceny, and felony third-degree criminal possession of stolen property.

On August 25, police received a report of the theft of a vehicle from a Crompond Road address, in the Town of Yorktown. During the investigation, police identified Manuel Dooley as the suspect, and believe that he stole a 2009 Honda Ridgeline, valued at $15,000 from the property.

Yorktown police then applied for and received a warrant for Dooley's arrest.

On Dec. 19, Westchester County Corrections informed Yorktown police that they had custody of Dooley. Yorktown police officers responded to the Westchester County Jail, placed Dooley is custody, and brought him back to Yorktown Police Department headquarters.

After the arrest warrant was executed and processing was completed, Dooley was arraigned by a judge, and remanded to the Westchester County Jail. He is due to appear before the Yorktown Justice Court on January 6.
