RXR Kicks Off New, Free 'Clinton Park Summer Series' In New Rochelle

NEW ROCHELLE, NY — You don't need a tony downtown address to take advantage of New Rochelle's rapidly growing skyline — there are plenty of new perks to access from street level.

RXR, the master developer of downtown New Rochelle, in partnership with Casaroma Cafe and The Lincoln Park Conservancy, just announced the "Clinton Park Summer Series," a six-week series of free community events "designed to engage, entertain, and unite the local New Rochelle community."

The series will kick off on Saturday, July 20 and will take place every Saturday through August 26. Organizers say there will be a variety of activities catering to every age group and interest.

"Since RXR began its work in Downtown New Rochelle nearly a decade ago, our vision was to create a community where people come together, grow and thrive. Now, as we look toward the imminent grand opening of Two Clinton Park and the completion of the public plaza, we encourage all New Rochelle residents and visitors to come Downtown and make summer memories," Joseph Graziose, Jr., Executive VP of Development Services at RXR, said. "We are grateful to be able to provide this series and look forward to meeting and getting to know more people in our community."

Each event will take place in Clinton Park Plaza, the new public plaza located at 50 Clinton Place, between the One and Two Clinton Park residential towers.

"We’ll be serving our delicious coffee and treats, as well as many new surprises attendees won’t want to miss."

The Clinton Park Summer Series schedule:

• Saturday, July 20: Kids' Fun Day, 10 a.m. - noon: A day dedicated to kids and families, featuring a variety of activities, including face painting, balloon animals, puppet shows, and games with prizes. There will also be arts and crafts stations and storytelling sessions.

• Saturday, July 27: Dog Fashion Show, 10 a.m. - noon: Local pet owners can showcase their dog's fabulous looks and creative costumes, and prizes will be awarded for categories such as Best Dressed, Most Creative, and Funniest Costume.

• Saturday, August 3rd: Salsa & Bachata Lessons, 10 a.m. - noon: Get moving with dance classes in the plaza. Professional dance instructors will lead the salsa lesson. These classes are open to all skill levels and ages, making it a perfect family activity.

• Saturday, August 10th: Plant Workshop, 10 a.m. - noon: Join us for an engaging and hands-on workshop hosted by "grow! Lincoln Park Community Garden" where you'll learn the basics of growing your own plants! Whether you're a seasoned gardener or a complete beginner, this workshop offers something for everyone.

• Saturday, August 17th: Local Artist Showcase, 10 a.m. - noon: Calling all local artists! Community members of all ages are invited to perform music, poetry, comedy, or any other talent they wish to share in a supportive and encouraging space.

• Saturday, August 24: Community Comedy Show, 5 p.m. - 7 p.m.: Enjoy an afternoon of laughter with a Community Comedy Show. Featuring New York-based comedians, this event promises to bring joy and entertainment to all attendees.

RXR is anticipating the grand opening of Two Clinton Park later this month, with 390 apartments, 24,000 square feet of premier amenities and over 7,500 square feet of retail space. Together with One Clinton Park, which opened in 2022, the properties offer approximately 50,000 square feet of amenity and outdoor space across the shared complex.
