NEW ROCHELLE, NY — Police say a violent carjacking this weekend might be related to an earlier crash involving a stolen car.

The New Rochelle Police Department says that on Saturday afternoon, they received a report of a carjacking that took place on Bridge Street, where a 21-year-old New Rochelle woman was forcibly removed from her vehicle by unknown assailants.

Around 2:24 p.m. on Saturday, the woman was waiting in her parked car for her friend when she was approached by at least two suspects who forcibly ejected her from her car before stealing it and fleeing.
