Up to 18 guests will be able to sit at the white stone sushi counter and enjoy craft cocktails, imported sake, and Japanese spirits while seasoned sushi chefs expertly guide them through the 60-minute timed Omakase discovery experience: $65 for a 12-course omakase or $100 for a 17-course omakase. This will be Sushi by Boū's largest sushi counter so far, with room for 35 more guests in the bar and lounge area.

As with any good speakeasy, there is a chance to order off menu too, with hand rolls and other popular sushi selections available upon request, along with other à la carte specialties and seasonal mochi ice cream for dessert.

Featured delicacies will include: Hamachi (yellowtail), Botan Ebi (spotted prawn), Ikura (salmon roe), Hotate (scallop), O-Toro (fatty tuna), Unagi (bbq eel), and their signature Wagyuni (surf and turf).

The hospitality group simplevenue, first launched in 2017, says that Sushi by Boū New Rochelle is part of the group's continuing expansion, with recent openings in Nashville, Chicago and Puerto Rico. The New Rochelle restaurant will bring the total location count for Sushi by Boū and sister brands Sushi Suite, Omakaseed and Fins and Scales to 23 across New York, New Jersey, Illinois, Florida, Tennessee, DC and Puerto Rico.

The group's flagship brand, Sushi by Boū, is known for changing the sushi counter experience in the U.S., when it offered its high-end, timed omakase experience, a modern take on the classic sushi counter, "providing a glimpse at the hustle and bustle of Japan’s food culture, combined with a truly unique, personalized culinary experience."

As part of the bespoke dining experience at Sushi by Boū, each location has a customized theme for a unique and memorable experience. The New Rochelle location's theme draws its inspiration from pop art of the '60s, the Disco era of the '70s, and graffiti of the '80s.

The space will also feature a rotating gallery of artwork. The location's first exhibit will feature the works of the late Arlene Gottfried, a New York City street photographer who captured scenes of ordinary daily life in some of the city's less affluent neighborhoods. She was known for her unique street style photography, as well as for being the older sister of the comedian Gilbert Gottfried. The collection of black and white street photography was curated by CLAMP (New York).
