Westchester Mom Threatened To Stab Daughter, Then Abandoned Her At Convenience Store In The Poconos: Police
The pair were on their way back to their New Rochelle home when a "small argument" broke out, according to police in Pennsylvania.

NEW ROCHELLE, NY — A New Rochelle mother has been arrested, after police in Pennsylvania said she threatened to stab, and abandoned her teenage daughter at a convenience store in the Poconos, according to police in Pennsylvania.
On Sunday, at 5:19 a.m., the Pocono Township Police Department arrived to the Turkey Hill in Tannersville, Pennsylvania after receiving a report that a 13-year-old was abandoned by her mother.
Police say that sometime after midnight, 42-year-old Tonimarie A. Barrett, of New Rochelle, and the the child left a residence in Long Pond to return home to New Rochelle.

Barrett stopped at a closed gas station to try and obtain directions through GPS. A small argument ensued with the juvenile and they both exited the vehicle, during which time Barrett threatened to stab the juvenile, police said.
Barrett then left the girl at the closed business and drove to a gas station in Effort, where she remained until police contacted her sometime after 7 a.m. Barrett admitted that she did not attempt to look for the child and did not report her missing to the police, according to authorities.

Barrett was booked into the Monroe County Correctional Facility on charges of endangering the welfare of a child, terroristic threats, and recklessly endangering another person.
