The Mattituck-Laurel Historical Society & Museums announces that their Annual Appeal letter was mailed the morning of Dec. 16 and should arrive in local mailboxes by the morning of Dec. 18. Nearly 5,000 letters were mailed requesting a contribution of $50 to the approved 501c3 organization. Recipients will receive a membership application (individual, $20; family $30; business $50; patron, $100; Lifetime, $500) and a request for individuals to volunteer, offer goods and services and to include the historical society in their estate planning.
