Don't Miss It: Fundraiser for Elizabeth Toy's Son

The event will be held on Oct. 5 at Four Doors Down in Mattituck.

When Elizabeth Toy, of Cutchogue lost her life to cancer on Sept. 25, she left behind an 11-year-old son, Matthew, who is now living with his grandmother. To help with costs associated with raising Matthew, the community has band together to help raise money through a fundraiser this weekend.

The fundraiser will be held at Four Doors Down in Mattituck and feature a pig roast at 3 p.m. and motorcycle run, starting at 11:00 a.m. The cost to participate in the motorcycle run is $20 per person and for the buffet $15.

A chinese auction will also be held during the event

Donations are also being accepted in Elizabeth Toy's name at Suffolk County National Bank account, friends said, to help give Matthew a secure future.

The account was set up prior to Toy's death to help defray the cost of medical bills and for Matthew's care. Toy, who was a single mom had struggled to make ends meets since April, even continuing to work despite doctor's orders.
