Driver Flees On Foot After North Fork Rollover Crash: PD

CUTCHOGUE, NY — A driver fled on foot after a rollover crash in Cutchogue Sunday night, police said.

According to Southold Town police, the crash took place at 7:38 p.m. on Bridge Lane, just south of the railroad crossing.

Upon arrival, officers discovered a vehicle flipped onto its roof with no occupants present; witnesses reported the driver had fled on foot, police said.

Upon investigation, it was determined that the vehicle was traveling south on Bridge Lane when it collided with multiple parked vehicles, causing it to overturn, police said.

The Southold Police K-9 and drone units searched the area; however, the driver could not be located, officials said.
