Driver Injured After Crashing Into Pole, Tree in Cutchogue: PD
The crash took place Saturday morning, closing the road for about two hours, police say.

NORTH FORK, NY — A man was injured after a Cutchogue crash Saturday sent his car off the roadway and into a telephone pole and a tree, police said.
According to Southold Town police, the crash took place at 7:30 a.m. Saturday on Main Road and Stillwater Avenue.
The driver, 38, of Cutchogue, who was traveling west on Main Road, hit the pole and tree; he was transported by the Cutchogue Fire Department to Peconic Bay Medical Center for treatment of his injuries, police said.

The roadway was temporarily closed while the detective division conducted an investigation; no charges were filed, police said.
The scene was cleared, and the roadway reopened at about 9:45 a.m., police said.
