Driver Injured After Crashing Into Tree In Southold: PD

The crash took place Sunday night, police say.

SOUTHOLD, NY — A 25-year-old Laurel man was injured in Southold Sunday night when he drove off the road and hit a tree, police said.

According to Southold Town police, the incident took place at 12:09 a.m. on Main Road.

The Southold Fire Department responded and transported the man to Peconic Bay Medical Center for treatment of injuries he sustained in the crash, police said. The vehicle had extensive front-end damage, police said.
