Dan's Papers explains that a local brewery in Riverhead, übergeek Brewing Co., has partnered with the New York Marine Rescue Center (NYMRC) to create a winter ale to supports the non-profit organization's mission, helping sea turtles on the East End. NYMRC, at the Long Island Aquarium, will get $1 for every pour of the beer, called "i didn't ask to be here." (Dan's Papers)
  2. Denise Civiletti talks to the organizers of a Riverhead food pantry who say demand continues to be extremely high. Open Arms Care Center operates out of First Baptist Church on Northville Turnpike, and went from serving 968 households in 2019 to 3,109 in 2020 and 4,000 households in 2021 so far. (RiverheadLOCAL)
