Greenport Village – On the Agenda

Continued budget hearings and discussions on village ZBA procedures and an Exxon-Mobil conservation easement to take place Monday night.

Members of the will meet at 6 p.m. at the Monday night. The agenda includes the following public hearings:

• Changes to Zoning Board of Appeals procedures: “The ZBA procedure is dealing with notification to area properties that there is an action pending,” said Trustee Mary Bess Phillips. “It will change this process to include signage on the property to the applicant paying for the notifications.”  

• Exxon-Mobil conservation easement on their property at the end of Fourth Street: This hearing deals with the second part to the becoming the responsible party to watching over the property.

• Continuation of the 2012-2013 budget hearing: The public has another chance to weigh in on a proposed $2,789,764 village spending plan for 2012-2013. brought little public feedback despite a snafu that leaves no money for upgrades to village parks.
