- Denise Civiletti reports that a second lawsuit has been filed over Riverhead's pet dealer law, this time by the owners of The Puppy Experience in Aquebogue. (RiverheadLOCAL)
- Northforker checks out a quirky new nearby store. Geyer’s Jerky and Collectables in the Shoppes at East Wind in Wading River has nostalgic collectibles and toys—and a variety of meat jerky. (Northforker)
- A Coram man was arrested on charges of attempted robbery and petit larceny last night in Wading River. John M. Marchese, 30, entered the Speedway Gas store at 6305 Route 25A last night at about 8:15, demanded cash from an employee and then removed an item from the store without paying for it. (RiverheadLOCAL)
- Lisa Finn tells us that Friday's wind storm almost toppled a long-standing and beloved tree in Orient. The community made sure the power companies would fix the wires on the buttonwood tree at the head of Youngs Road without cutting it down. (Patch)
- Patch profiles a Mattituck teenager who after becoming the 2021 Mattituck Lions Club Strawberry Queen, decided to give back by raising money for Kait's Angels. Ava Grace Sannino, wants to contribute to the charity, which honors Kaitlyn Doorhy, who died in 2014 at just 20 years old and a former Strawberry Queen. (Patch)
