It's Pothole Season on the North Fork
Here's a glimpse at some distinctive potholes around town.
It happens every year — after the snowplows scrape the roads for days on end and the snow starts to melt, potholes reign and wreak havoc on tires and rims.
But that havoc soon will end, at least in Greenport, according to Village Administrator Dave Abatelli.
"It's worse this year because the roads were frozen for so long, but we've been patching them up the last couple days," he said on Thursday. "We're taking care of our 13 miles of roads."
