According to Jess Dunne, DJ Catnip is seven months old, a very friendly Calico wearing a Seresto collar, who has been missing since November 27 from Dogwood Lane.

"He's an indoor/outdoor cat, but it rained — and it's been very cold," she said.

There has been hope in sightings, Dunne said. DJ Catnip was spotted so far near Kenneys Beach on Leeton Drive and then twice near McCabe's Beach and Hilltop Path.

"A couple nights ago we let our cat DJ out and, unfortunately, he hasn’t returned," Dunne's partner Christian Schott wrote on Facebook. "I know it’s not common for a cat to go MIA for days at a time, but this is very unlike him, and he should have been back home by now. I know it’s a long shot, but if you live in Southold around the Kenneys Beach area, keep your eyes open. He is still a baby — and we just want him home."

Both said their daughter Nova, 4, is brokenhearted without her cat.

"Nova just wants DJ home again," Dunne said. "He is a special cat and lights up our home."
