Man Busted On North Fork With Fentanyl, Cocaine, M30s: PD

He was arrested after a search warrant led to the discovery of 45.7 grams of cocaine, 10.8 grams of fentanyl, and 122 blue M30s, police say.

NORTH FORK, NY — A Greenport man was arrested recently after being caught with fentanyl and cocaine, police said.

According to Southold Town police, Kareem Austin, 36, was arrested on Thursday, February 20 at about 6 a.m. at his residence on 2nd Street in Greenport. Authorities said they recovered 45.7 grams of cocaine, 10.8 grams of fentanyl, and 122 blue M30s containing fentanyl.

The Suffolk County District Attorney’s East End Drug Task Force, Southold Town Police, a Southold Town Police K-9 unit, and Suffolk County Police Department's emergency services unit executed a search warrant at the home, located at 618 Second Street in Greenport, police said.

The search warrant was a result of an extended investigation by the East End Drug Task Force, officials added.

Austin was arrested and charged with third-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance, intent to sell; third-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance, narcotic; fourth-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance; and criminal use of drug paraphernalia, police said.
