Paintballs were shot at children riding bikes in Riverhead and police are looking for the shooters. The Peconic scallop harvest was disappointing again this year.

2. The Daily Voice writes that a Long Island Bloods gang member faces life in prison after being found guilty of murder, forcible rape, sex trafficking, and drug possession. Lawrence Lewis, 38, of Calverton, was convicted Tuesday for the 2017 murder of John Birt, the forcible rape and sex trafficking of a Suffolk County woman and many more charges. (Daily Voice)
