A Flanders man has been charged with killing a man in Moriches. Shelter Island is seeing a rise in COVID-19 cases. And Suffolk County announced sweeping police reforms.

1. The Shelter Island Reporter reports that Shelter Island saw three new COVID-19 cases this week. That brings the total number infected to 96 since March 2020. (Shelter Island Reporter)

4. Dan's Papers reports that a Flanders man was arrested Wednesday for shooting a 37-year-old man to death outside of the victim’s Moriches home last week. Michael Gilbert was charged with second-degree murder in the killing of Tyrell Durham. (Dan's Papers)
