Here are the top stories today in North Fork:
- Jax Was Found! After being lost during the season's first snowfall, prayers were answered, Jax was found on Saturday. It was a community effort to find Jax and get him home unharmed. Once sighted, they used his favorite squeaky toy and that did the trick! Welcome home Jax! (North Fork Patch)
- Southold is one of four Long Island towns to receive funds from the State Department of Health's $611,363 grant. The funding was part of a $20 million statewide grant to improve the quality of residential drinking water. Southold plans to focus state funds on replacing lead service lines in water distribution systems on Fishers Island, cutting Greenport out of its plan. (Suffolk Times)
- Those of you with new year's resolutions to participate in Dry January, well you now have restaurants serving "Mocktails." We've put together a list of three of your favorite restaurants serving delicious and skillfully crafted alcohol free beverages. (Northforker)
