Police: Coram Man Busted for Drug Possession in Mattituck Traffic Stop
Southold Town Police charge a Coram man for drug possession and possible stolen property on Feb. 23.

The following information was supplied by the Southold Town Police Department. A criminal charge is only an accusation, and does not indicate convictions.
Thomas Hynes, 18, of Coram was charged with three counts of seventh-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance and unlawful possession of marijuana on Feb. 23 at 11:24 p.m. in Mattituck, after police stopped him for a traffic violation on Route 25, police said. The officer on the scene observed marijuana in the vehicle, and after further investigation, various prescription medications were also located in vehicle along with several potentially stolen items, police said. Investigation into the circumstances surrounding those possibly stolen items recovered continues, police said.
