Police: Orient Teen Drinking Underage Caught With Pot

Southold Town Police charge an 18-year-old Orient man with underage possession of alcohol and unlawful possession of marijuana.

The following information was supplied by the Southold Town Police Department. A criminal charge is only an accusation, and does not indicate convictions.

Andrew Semon, 18, of Orient, was charged resisting arrest, unlawful possession of marijuana and underage possession of alcohol on May 26 at 3:44 p.m., after patrolling officers observed Semon walking in an apparent intoxicated condition in the Sterlington Commons parking lot in Greenport and saw him enter a parked vehicle while carrying an open container of alcohol, police said. Police discovered that Semon was under the age of 21, and further investigation found him to be in possession of a quantity of marijuana within his vehicle, police said. Semon struggled with the officers as they attempted to place him in handcuffs, police said. He was transported to Southold Town Police headquarters in Peconic where he was processed and released on bail for a later court date.
