Question: Is 20 Mph Too Slow By Mattituck High School?

For the past couple of years, the state Department of Transportation has ruled that drivers can go only 20 mph for quite a long stretch of Route 25 in front of The speed limit had previously been set at 30, and drivers are required to slow down to only 30 during school hours in front of in Cutchogue.

Members of the Southold Town Board discussed this week about approaching the state again with a request to bump the speed limit back up to at least 30 through the high school zone. Do you agree?
