Question of the Day: Are Books a Dead Business?

North Fork Patch reported this week on and close its Riverhead facility. We also featured a spotlight on in Greenport — a tiny but longstanding independent bookstore that seems to be adjusting to the times without one Kindle on its shelves.

So what do you think? Do you think books as we know them (the ones made with paper and ink) will stick around for a while? Or do you think it's just a matter of time before words on paper will disappear completely and literary types will have to rely solely on electronics to read?
