Revolutionary War Vets' Plaque Dedication Rescheduled To Saturday

NORTH FORK, NY — Despite a rescheduled date due to high winds and rain, a Revolutionary War veterans' plaque dedication will take place this weekend in Cutchogue.

The dedication takes place on Saturday, April 19, at 11 a.m. at the Old Burying Ground in Cutchogue, on the corner of Harbor Lane and Main Road.

"In commemoration of the 250th anniversary of the battle at Lexington and Concord, the Sons of the American Revolution will be dedicating a plaque in honor of the 10 Revolutionary War veterans interred at the Cutchogue Old Burying Ground — it will be an early semiquincentennial event, organizers said.

There will be a brief history of the grounds, a speech by the Southold Town Supervisor Al Krupski and a roll call with a musket-fired salute by Revolutionary War Soldier reenactors for each veteran. Refreshments will be served. The names of the veterans to be honored are:
