Southold Driver Charged With DWI After Mattituck Crash: PD
He hit a sign, 2 mailboxes, and a pole, police say.
NORTH FORK, NY — A Southold man was arrested and charged with driving while intoxicated after he crashed into a sign, two mailboxes, and a PSEG pole recently, police said.
According to Southold Town police, the incident took place on Saturday at 3:18 a.m. on Breakwater Road in Mattituk. Maycon Rosales Gonzalez, 31, was traveling north on Breakwater Road when he left the roadway, crashing into a real estate sign, the mailboxes, and pole, police said.
He was found to be intoxicated and was arrested and charged; in addition, he had a license plate that did not belong to the vehicle, police said.
