Whiz Kid's Accomplishment: "Kathleen is a fabulous actress — she is definitely one to look out for," said Carrie Blair, a fan of Kathleen's who nominated her for the weekly Whiz Kid. "She just played the lead role in the Southold school production of 'Lend Me A Tenor.' Her talent is way beyond her years."

Whiz Kid's Key to Awesomeness: "As well as being a very talented actress, Kathleen is one of the most kind-hearted teenagers I have ever met," Blair said. "Her mother Janice is a preschool teacher — she teaches my daughter. Whenever Kathleen sees the children she takes time to talk with them, never once rushing to do something more important, a rare quality in people in general — especially a teenager!

"To quote her mother, Kathleen is 'beautiful inside and out.' I hope that Kathleen's talent and personality can be rewarded so that she can be shown as a role model for other North Fork children growing up."
