Cop: Drugged Woman Enters Wrong Home, 'Threatening' Cab Driver

Wednesday, July 25

At 1:04 a.m., police received a report that a woman was having a dispute with her cab driver on Main Street while on the way to her psychologist's office. The woman thought the driver was threatening her, but police determined the caller was talking to a friend on the phone and the conversation had nothing to do with her. The situation was resolved.

At 10:16 a.m., police received a report of a stolen kayak on James Street.

At 1:53 p.m., police received a report for a sick or intoxicated woman who attempted to enter a Milland Drive home, but walked out upon realizing she entered the wrong residence. Police located her on Fort Salonga Road at Harbor Circle walking in the lane of traffic. It was determined she was suffering from a drug overdose. She was taken to Huntington Hospital.

Saturday, July 28

At 11:47 a.m., police received a report of a group of youths in a vehicle kicking two "slow children at play" signs on Highland Avenue. Police could not locate the vehicle and there was no damage to the signs.

At 8:15 p.m., police received a report of a suspicious red vehicle driving around Steers Avenue. Police located the vehicle and interviewed the driver, who said he was teaching his daughter how to drive. No action was necessary.
