Elwood Athletes Step Up To Fight Food Insecurity With 12 Carts Of Donations
The Knights teamed up with Coach TJ Brocking for a Stop & Shop food drive, which brought in a substantial haul for neighbors in need.

ELWOOD, NY — The Elwood-John H. Glenn High School football team tackled hunger off the field this month, leading a community food drive that filled 12 carts with canned goods and nonperishable items, school officials said.
Coach TJ Brocking and the Knights hosted the Nov. 2 drive outside Stop & Shop, an effort sponsored by Town of Huntington Supervisor Ed Smyth, Councilman Sal Ferro, and the Ferro Foundation.
“This was absolutely wonderful,” said Athletic Director Dave Shanahan. “Giving back to the community speaks volumes about our student-athletes and coaches.”
